史蒂夫（约翰尼·诺克斯维尔 Johnny Knoxville 饰）兢兢业业的为公司做牛做马了数载，终于有一天，他鼓起勇气，向上司提出了升职的请求。让史蒂夫没有想到的是，自己的请求竟然被应允了，但是作为交换条件，史蒂夫必须出面辞掉在公司里资历颇老的看门人斯塔威（路易斯·阿瓦洛斯 Luis Avalos 饰），这对于向来以老好人自居的史蒂夫来说，是一个难题。<br>在这个节骨眼上，一场意外令斯塔威失去了数根手指，这对于本就不富裕，又没有医疗保险的斯塔威来说，是雪上加霜。善良的史蒂夫决定帮助斯塔威，他想了一个馊主意——装成智障人士，通过参加残疾人运动会来赚取巨额的奖金。
